ANIMAL PEOPLE
Sue Roenbeck: Co-Founder of HALO
Long-Island native Sue Roenbeck grew up as the youngest of ten siblings in a home with an array of animals. That alone was a good base of preparation for her 12 year ARMY career. As an ARMY trained Combat Medic with advanced training in orthopaedics, her abilities earned her the expert field medic badge and helped pave her career as an orthopaedic technician at one of the country's most highly acclaimed orthopaedic facilities here in Tampa.
Sue is no stranger to dealing with emergencies. Her cool, level headed demeanor allow her to make quick, life saving decisions for the animals we encounter at H.A.L.O.. Sue is H.A.L.O.'s Vice President as well as head instructor for our basic Animal First Aid and CPR class as well as our advanced Animal First Responder curriculum (A.F.R.). Having been there since that fateful evening when H.A.L.O. was born, she is extremely passionate about creating H.A.L.O. response teams around the country, beginning right here in Pinellas county. Keep your eyes on our training calendar to see when Sue will be offering one of our courses!
